Welcome to your February update. Read about the latest updates and improvements we've made to our products and services this month.
New this month
Webfactory Support - We have expanded and upgraded our support website. A new design and an easier-to-use navigation were key to the change. We've also moved the support site outside of the Hub, meaning you can access the articles without needing to log in to the Hub.
Instagram issues - Instagram recently made changes to the way it allows us to get your images to be placed in a feed on your website. This change had the effect of breaking the original connection. We have updated the code behind the feeds, and this is now fully working. Please note you will need to reauthorise your Instagram connection. We will be emailing all impacted customers in the coming week.
Maps - Due to changes implemented by Google, we have changed the map provider, which runs the maps on your website. We have made this decision because Google has significantly increased its pricing for serving the maps, and as a result, to avoid having to pass that increase on, we have simply changed the map provider. You shouldn't notice any major differences except perhaps for some small colour changes.
Security and small bugs - As part of our regular maintenance, we have fixed lots of small bugs and updated all software with any security fixes.
Coming soon
Valentine's upgrades - We will be shortly announcing our range of Valentine's website upgrades. These include a falling hearts effect on your pages as well as Valentine's-themed logos. We'll drop you an email just as soon as they are ready.
Knowledge base - The system we have built, which runs our support website, we have developed in a way that we can also offer this as a product. We always look for instances where we can use the same tools we offer as products, as we find that is the best way to quickly learn what works and what needs improving. Look out soon for access to become a beta tester in the coming weeks.
