Include a Clear Call to Action on All Your Pages
You should always provide your website visitors somewhere to go once they have finished consuming the content on any given page. This can be as simple as adding a call now or sign up button. Think about what you want the person to do once they have finished reading your page. If you want them to call you, make sure you add a 'Call Us Now' message, if there is another page which you think they should read after the one they are on, add a direct link at the end of the page. Do not rely on your visitors scrolling back to the top of your pages to find out what they should do next.

Make Your Content Clear
Website visitors tend to skim over content rather than reading anything in too much detail. You should break large paragraphs down into smaller ones and inset headings to make your content easier to skim and consume. Don't be afraid to go into more detail on the pages deeper in your website but on top level pages and your home page especially, keep things simple. Bullet points, clear headings and short paragraphs will help keep your visitors on your website.

Keep the Really Important Stuff in Sight
Believe it or not a lot of people don't bother to scroll down web pages. In fact some don't even know that they need to scroll down at all. Try to keep your important content as close to the top of your page as possible. Ideally the most important content should be above the point on the page where people would have to scroll to see it. Don't forget this point will be different depending on the size of your visitors screen so don’t assume everyone will have a large screen.

Keep Your Website Up-to-Date
As well as a benefit for your website's search optimisation, adding new content shows visitors that your business is alive and kicking. Post regular blog articles and make sure whenever you add time limited content such as offers you remove them as soon after it's expiry as possible.
