As a business we are often asked at what point should I get my website started. Often people feel they are not quite ready with all their content and so they decide to delay getting their website built.
We believe that the best time to get your website started is now.
Why should I get my website started now?
- Your website is actually not just about your website site, it’s also about all the things which come with it such as your email accounts and your web address. You may not be ready to have your full bells and whistles website up right now but you’re definitely going to need to have things like your email address in place to start giving out to potential customers and suppliers. I believe there is no better way to look unprofessional than having a hotmail or yahoo account as your business email.
- Although you might not be ready with all your content, it’s worth getting something basic up on the web to allow Google and the other search engines to pick up and start indexing your website. You should consider putting up a basic page with perhaps just your logo and a short introduction to your business right away and then launch the full site later. This will help avoid the delay between when you submit your site to Google and it starting to show up in the results
- Any decent web design company will include a content management system with your website which is ideal for you if you don’t have or don’t know the exact content to put on your website right now. You can easily log in at anytime and make updates to the text and images at no cost.
